Customer Profile

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) is a private, non-profit organization serving as Philadelphia county's Area Agency on Aging since 1973. PCA's mission is to improve the quality of life for older Philadelphians or people with disabilities and to assist them in achieving their maximum level of health, independence and productivity. PCA carries out this mission through five major functions: planning; advocacy; program development; service coordination and delivery; and the accountable administration of public and private funds to contract with approximately 180 community organizations to deliver social and health care services to more than 100,000 consumers each year.

The Challenge

PCA hosts a Regional Conference on Aging each year. Their in house staffing is limited and they felt they did not have the expertise to manually manage registration and their CEU (Continuing Education Unit) activities. The company had two goals. One was to fully automate their registration processes including the collect of registrants data along with associated fees. The other was to electronically manage their entire CEU process.

Solution

PCA had worked with Attendee Interactive (Ai) indirectly on a previous project and felt we could meet their needs. They tasked Ai to improve their registration data capture and make the process easy for the attendees and the staff. They also walked Ai through their manual process of collecting CEU's and requested that process be adapted to Ai's CEU module.

Benefits

According to the staff at PCA, "Ai's system exceeded our expectations in every area". The overall system functionality works well, and there is no software to download or maintain allowing our staff to access our meeting data in real time from any computer with internet access. Reports are easy to run, and they are truly intuitive.
We also opted to have Ai staff on-site, to support the badge-printing process and on-site registrations. Having them there to answer questions and guide the volunteers that staffed the registration desk was invaluable.
