Case study of how Attendee Interactive supplied conference management software to SkillsUSA.

Customer Profile

SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving more than 300,000 teachers, high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. The company offers a partnership to students, teachers and industry representatives; to work together to ensure America has a skilled work force. They service over 13,000 school chapters in 54 states with more than 14,500 instructors and administrators.

The Challenge

SkillsUSA hosts an annual National Leadership and Skills conference that attracts over 16,000 attendees with over 700 events. Due to the magnitude of this conference, scheduling can be very grueling. The schedule contains 91 competitions, as well as additional meetings and seminars that are a part of the conference. Their biggest issue, before using Ai, was the workload prior to conference in double-checking for room conflicts. With so many events, avoiding room conflicts can become a serious challenge.

Solution

In 2009, SkillsUSA decided to use Ai's Event and Logistics Module to manage the 700 events. By utilizing this system their room management and scheduling was much more efficient.

Benefits

SkillsUSA stated that the biggest change that was made for the 09 conference was the incredible amount of time that was saved by using Ai's system. They felt overwhelming assurance that their events would not have any scheduling conflicts. The system was extremely user friendly and they were impressed with the responsiveness of Ai's staff. For this year's conference there were no scheduling conflicts.

"The 2009 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference was a successful conference on the logistical side with much thanks to Ai. We have saved so much time by going with this system. Any questions we had were answered by days end. Our confidence with Ai has grown so much more after the closing of our 2009 conference." - Ashley Ridgeway, Program Specialist, Conference Management Services, SkillsUSA
